Right month to side with Sprint hope at what should be a decent price

The form horses in the Sprint all look worth taking on for one reason or another, and while The Tin Man looks very solid he doesn't set an exacting standard. At the prices Limato makes some appeal, allowing for doubts over his ability to handle possible testing ground, having bounced back for the return to sprinting on his last two starts.

His best form would put him behind only Battaash and Harry Angel, neither of whom seem likely to run their best over six furlongs at Ascot, and he has winning form over course and distance. He's also run his best races in October in the past two years.

Bar the Long Distance Cup, doubts over running plans give the other races an open look, and with the market leaders in the Fillies & Mares set to take their chances in the Arc there's scope for Wild Illusion to be a lot shorter on the day. Her top form puts her up with the pick of the remainder and she also showed her best form late last year, on testing ground too.
