This four-year-old son of Beat Hollow was making his debut in this admittedly ordinary Kilbeggan bumper. He showed plenty despite being demoted from third place and should improve.

He was up there for most of the way, racing keenly, and between the configurations of the track and his own greenness he was all over the place in the last furlong or so, proving difficult for his rider to steer. His final manoeuvre when drifting left off the last contour caused the interference that lost him a place.
