Richard Birch with some strong selections for the Bath placepot

Lady Fanditha is a most interesting prospect for leg one (12.00) of the Bath placepot off a mark of 70.

She was tried in Listed fillies’ company on her second start as a juvenile, and can leave a below-par Kempton reappearance well behind.

It makes sense to also include Giovanni Tiepolo, who is just 5lb higher than when successful at Windsor and clearly going the right way.

Leg two (12.30) looks booked for Lady Fanditha’s stablemate Bright Armor, who has shown a level of form in two starts which is good enough to land a run-of-the-mill maiden.

Recent course winner Cappananty Con appeals strongly in the third leg (1.05). He hardly broke sweat to score off 5lb lower, and remains a step ahead of the handicapper judged on career-best form.

Two Bath regulars are taken against the field in leg four (1.35), namely Delagate This Lord - a course winner five times - and Union Rose, who has four wins to his name at the track.

Rideson has the best form in leg five (2.05), while Duchess Of Avon and Tidal Racer are the selections for the final leg (2.35).
