Trainer: John Feane
9th, 6f 2yo maiden, Dundalk, November 17
John Feane is not a trainer who has many two-year-old winners, with most of his horses prepared for winning handicaps, and indeed this daughter of Elzaam is likely to be no different. It is hard, though, not to recognise that she showed a fair bit of promise in adverse circumstances at Dundalk.

Her race was over after two strides, as she was very slowly away and for much of the way was well behind. She had just one horse behind her turning in and, while she never threatened at all, she did keep on pretty well inside the last furlong or so.

It is unlikely that she will threaten to win a maiden but she is certainly one to look out for in a handicap, perhaps at Dundalk early next year.

Gavin Cromwell
2nd, 3yo hurdle, Punchestown, November 18
This filly by Famous Name was quite a decent two-year-old on the Flat, winning a valuable Listowel nursery, and while it was only possible to get her to the track once on the Flat this year, she showed at Punchestown that she certainly has a future over hurdles.
