Rely on soaring Misdflight to make up for Down Royal losses

Day two of Roscommon's July meeting is a competitive all-jumps card which has one or two quality performers on show as well.

One of the more interesting races is the Leo Dolan Memorial Handicap Hurdle (7.30) and it is one of the most competitive, too, as not many can be ruled out.

A pretty well-handicapped runner, though, is the Denis Hogan-trained-and-ridden Misdflight. He was well backed to land a similar handicap at Down Royal on good ground back at the end of May when holding off consistent stayers Clontarf and Vote Of Confidence, but he was disqualified after his rider-trainer was judged to have ridden dangerously.
