Quinn could be a mighty booking for Turner's Diva
Le Roi Du Temps is back in trip in lesser company at the scene of his sole win 7.15 Leicester
This gelding shaped a bit better than the bare form on his reappearance last month and, judging on the way he improved for a run last season, he could come on plenty for it returned to a more suitable trip.
After showing little on his debut last year, Le Roi Du Temps finished third at Thirsk on his next start and then made no mistake over this course and distance. Despite his keen-going tendencies, he has been stuck over a mile on his three subsequent starts and it hasn't suited at all.
Having said that, he was in the process of running well enough on his return at Doncaster when badly hampered approaching the final furlong in a race won by subsequent Britannia Stakes scorer Defrocked.
Connections have finally put him back over 7f and the fitting of cheekpieces for the first time probably isn't a bad idea, given his tendency to pull.
Jimmy Quinn looks an interesting booking for Lucky Diva
5.45 Bath
In 2012 and 2013 Quinn partnered four winners from just nine rides for Lucky Diva's trainer Bill Turner. He hasn't ridden for the yard since, but the fact he has been called up for this nine-year-old mare on her 54th start suggests the veteran might be capable of a last hurrah at a course on which she has scored twice before.
Her last win came more than two years ago, but she has run plenty of decent races since, including when beaten three lengths into fourth in this contest 12 months ago off a 5lb higher mark than today.
She has also shaped well since cheekpieces replaced a visor on her last two starts. She travelled well into contention without quite getting home on easy ground at Chepstow last month, while last time at Lingfield she was short of room when the race began in earnest before staying on for fourth.
While the form is as ordinary as it comes, both those efforts suggest Lucky Diva retains a fair amount of ability and chances are she is being teed up for one last success, with this track probably top of connections' list.
Her two wins here came on firm ground, so conditions are likely to be ideal, and she won't mind this smaller field (three of her four successes have come in single-figure fields).
Peter Park should appreciate the return to fast ground 6.10 Leicester
Despite looking regressive, Peter Park has had only two runs this season and is possibly worth one more chance now he encounters genuinely fast ground for the first time since the early days of his juvenile campaign last season.
His first two efforts last year, both at Newbury, were extremely promising. On his debut he was fifth in a maiden that has thrown up plenty of winners and next time he was beaten three-quarters of a length in third by Whitman, who later landed a Listed race.
It has been pretty much downhill since then, although Peter Park's next start was on soft ground, which he clearly didn't handle, and while his two runs this season came on better surfaces, they were by no means rattling-quick.
He showed a bit more dropped back to 6f at Brighton last time, beaten less than four lengths in fourth (in fact his three starts over shorter than 7f have been a lot more encouraging than his four at that trip). And if he is finding some form he could prove on a decent mark judged on those two runs from last year, with the handicapper having dropped him another 2lb.
