Barry Geraghty hit the front in the Tara Handicap Hurdle (1.20) at Navan on 3-1 favourite Scoir Mear just after the second-last and looked to be going the best, touching 1.05 in running.

But the well-backed Automated, 8-1 from 14 before the race, showed a nice turn of foot after the last to land the prize after hitting 18.


Templehills rediscovered his autumn form when landing the handicap chase (1.45) at Fakenham under Sam Twiston-Davies but touched 18.5 in running, despite going off at 7-1.
