Promising Cromwell pair look well worth following after taking the eye at Naas

A potentially interesting bumper rounded off the card at Down Royal. It was won by a horse trained by Tony Martin who had shown some promise on his Fairyhouse debut, and this son of Ocovango also showed plenty.

A fine big sort, he was held up at the back of the field, made some nice headway to get in touch with the leaders turning out of the back straight, but looked green when he came off the bridle and ran around a good bit. He was not hard ridden late in the race and kept on to reasonable effect.
