Gary Moore’s winning hurdler has shown promise in three outings over fences this season and will not have many better opportunities to break his chase duck.

Le Capricieux built on his chasing debut fourth at Hereford (2m) in November when upped to 2m4f at Huntingdon the following month. He worked his way into contention from off the pace and had every chance two out but a mistake at that obstacle halted his progress. He still went on to finish third and recorded an RPR of 110, his career best over fences.
