The NetBet Casino National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell (2.50) is unlikely to have any bearing on the Cheltenham Festival but that doesn't stop it being a fascinating contest, with good cases possible for five of the seven runners.
The horse with the biggest upside is If The Cap Fits, who has always been the apple of Noel Fehily's eye. The step up to 2m3½f at Ascot two starts ago was clearly a big help to him as he ran down Old Guard close home and he was far from disgraced back at 2m in the Christmas Hurdle last time.
