Pointing graduate could kick on now that he tackles fences

Five runners who could be worth adding to your tracker

Mere Anarchy
Trainer: Robert Stephens
3rd, Chepstow, November 21
Considering Mere Anarchy had kept on in a 2m course handicap previously you can understand why he was upped in distance to 2m3½f here. He made smooth headway on the bridle to close within striking distance of the two leaders three out, but couldn't get to the front when asked for maximum effort. Based on this run he might be best served by a good gallop over two miles.

Spider’s Bite
Henry Daly
2nd, Ascot, November 24
Left his hurdles form behind on this chase debut and might have momentarily held the lead on the run-in of this 3m handicap chase before being denied by game winner King Of Realms. Spider’s Bite will go up in the handicap for not winning but, given this was his first try over fences, there should be more to come.

Onefortheroadtom
Harry Fry
6th, Ascot, November 23
Although beaten 15 lengths on this chasing debut there were signs of promise. Kept to the outside, he showed signs of freshness on this return from an absence and, after lacking the speed to keep with the leaders, he then kept on in the closing stages. Now chasing, this pointing graduate’s career could really take off. He clearly has lots of potential given he had Lalor and Kilbricken Storm behind him when winning a novice hurdle at Exeter last season.
