Placepot punters enjoy tidy dividend thanks to favourites at Warwick
>>The Placepot paid a tidy £731 for a £1 dividend at Warwick, despite favourites winning four of the first six races on the card.
The fact that four of the six contests featured less than eight, including one four-runner race, meant not many places were on offer and only 185.35 tickets survived to the final leg.
Whiskey In The Jar justified 2-1 favouritism and took Dan Skelton's record in bumpers at the track to five winners from 19 runners, but he was chased home by 16-1 outsider Samburu Shujaa and that meant just 72.15 tickets shared the £52,745 pool.
