Wadham hope to make a point at 16-1

James Doyle: on board Pernickety for Lucy Wadham at Chelmsford tonight

Pernickety probably hasn't been the easiest to train for Lucy Wadham and he has never won a race but he has shown a good deal of promise on all five of his starts and caught the eye again at Sandown last time.

He could never get into that race but he has dropped a couple of pounds since and he ran really well over course and distance at the start of the season. Provided Pernickety gets a pace to run at under James Doyle, he should outrun his 16-1 odds in a major way.1pt win
