Penalty may not stop Future Icon from following up

The final Flat meeting of the year at Navan takes place on Wednesday before the track begin their mouthwatering jumps season with the Fortria Chase meeting next month.

Midgley is represented by the consistent One Boy in the hands of Pat Smullen, but Lynam is represented by the Ana O'Brien-ridden Future Iconin a bid to follow up her course and distance win two weeks ago. She came from off the pace to win going away up the hill from reopposing rival Battleroftheboyne on that occasion. The stiff five furlongs and an ease in the ground suited her well that day and a reproduction would make her hard to beat with a 6lb increase unlikely to stop her on that evidence.
