After winning a Tipperary maiden in the early part of last season, the Tracey Collins-trained Beckwith Place failed to deliver on the expectations raised by his defeat of a Dermot Weld-trained odds-on chance Mayaadeen.

He managed just one solid display in four starts when fourth in a rated race at Galway, before ending the season with a couple of handicap runs best described as miserable.
