Paul Kealy's Tote Placepot perm for Wolverhampton's twilight card

Credit: Jon Winter

It probably makes sense to concentrate on the all-weather for Placepot purposes and Wolverhampton is certainly competitive, if not exactly dripping with class.

In the opener (4.20), Beechwood Emily has run right up to her best from wide draws here on her last two starts and should go close from stall three. Uncle Dick showed promise in the summer and is a half-brother to an all-weather winner, so could also go well at a price.

It's hard to know what to expect of Alto Volante in the next (4.55). He was odds-on on debut for William Haggas, so was evidently showing more at home than he produced on the track when when well beaten at Lingfield.

A safer play is probably form horse Stanley Baldwin, while The Thunderer should improve after a promising debut.

Castlebar looks very much the one to beat in leg three (5.30), but more cover will be required in the next (6.00). Carey Street has run three fine races for Linda Stubbs and goes in with Emerald Fox and Herons Nest.

The seller (6.30) is tough, too, but Swinging Eddie seemed to win with plenty in hand last time, while Word Of Honour was better than his finishing position here on Saturday.

In the last (7.00), Kapono really ought to hit the frame, but Beauty Choice is hard to leave out.
