Took really well to this course when scooting up by five lengths on his second start, and bettered that form with an excellent third in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

That race looks well up to standard on the evidence so far as the runner-up has since won the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket and the fourth took the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin at Chantilly, and Royal Scotsman is very much the one to beat.
