Paul Kealy takes on the favourites in his Tote Placepot perm for Cheltenham

Credit: Edward Whitaker

Most of the runners in the juvenile hurdle (12.30) at Cheltenham are unexposed, but the market is focused on Hell Red and .

The former is the likely favourite but even in receipt of weight he will need to find a lot more to trouble the Gordon Elliott-trained Duffle Coat, who is suggested as the banker for Placepot purposes.

The following handicap chase (1.05) is obviously much tougher, but Kerry Lee has secured one of the best conditional jockeys in Richard Patrick for Storm Control, who has shaped as if wanting a trip.

He's well handicapped if he stays, but we'll add , who will come on for his reappearance at Sedgefield last month and won a similar race for trainer Fergal O'Brien here in October 2019.

I kept trying to find reasons to oppose at the last meeting, but he won with loads in hand and sets a high standard for the other four runners in the Grade 2 novice chase (1.40).

I'm not a fan of banking in novice chases and , who was second in last year's Greatwood at this meeting, is added too.

I'm a big fan of Saint Sonnet in the Paddy Power Gold Cup (2.15), while , who came down at the second-last when seemingly going best last year, should be considered as well.

It could be worth adding and Debestymanfor the Listed Handicap Hurdle (2.50).

Captain Tom Cat and dominate the betting for the intermediate handicap hurdle (3.25), but I have a feeling this is more competitive than the market suggests and I thought Whatsupwithyouwas a big eyecatcher here last time.
