Paul Kealy provides a 16-line perm for your Catterick Placepot
Catterick is the chosen card for the Tote Placepot as all the races are competitive, starting with a tricky-looking juvenile hurdle (12.40).
Wise Eagle boasts just about the best form courtesy of a second at the track. Flat recruit Salamanca School makes some appeal having shown his best Flat form on soft or heavy ground.
In the next (1.10), 11-year-old Trimmers Lane, who has never before gone off at shorter than 14-1 under rules, is going to be a short price having scored at 25-1 at Wetherby last time.
Trusting him to do it again isn't for me, and Timely Gift, whose distant second last time on his first outing after a wind op wasn't a bad effort, gets the nod.
In leg three (1.40), Alaphilippe's penalties mean he isn't strictly a good thing, but he's unbeaten in three and has been winning easily, so he should make the frame at the very least in a weak affair.
The next (2.10) is tough, but Irish recruit Some Can Sing might not be badly treated on his debut for Stuart Edmunds, while Show Promise ran well to take second in a bumper and won a novice on his two starts at this track, so is included as well.
I'm taking on Le Breuil in the North Yorkshire National (2.40) as the race is more competitive than the odds suggest. Last year's winner Little Bruce and last-time-out Wetherby runner-up Chef D'Oeuvre (form worked out) are the picks.
The final leg (3.10) could well prove to be between Fame And Hope and Capricia and using both seems a wise strategy.
