1pt win at 15-2 generallyIt's hard to know what to believe when it comes to the official going description at Aintree this afternoon, but if you're looking to back a good-ground horse and hope it will get away with it on the official good to soft, it might be worth waiting for a race or two.

At this meeting last year the GoingStick reading was 5.7 and the official going soft, good to soft in places, while in the past 12 months it has been called good to soft, soft in places with a reading as high as 6.3.

The reading on Friday morning - it has yet to be updated today - was just 4.7 and, going back through the archive, the course have called it heavy on higher than that.
