It may be worth chancing that this has been the plan for Milanford (1.05), who is well handicapped on his form as a novice last season, when he was second in an admittedly weak Doncaster Grade 2.

Milanford was given a rating of 140 for that effort, but has dropped 10lb in just two chase outings, the first being a ten-length second when favourite at Hereford (not that bad considering the third is now rated 132), and the second a pulled-up effort in the Kim Muir here.
