Paul Kealy fancies stayer to get in the thick of things at the Curragh

5.30 Curragh
1pt each-way with firm paying five placesAs a seven-year-old Brazos is more exposed than most, but his handicap mark is fair as he's 3lb lower than when a 40-1 fourth of 21 over this course and distance on soft ground in the Irish Cesarewitch in October, a race much better than this one.

He couldn't repeat that effort in the Irish November Handicap at Naas next time, but he performed with credit when belatedly sent over hurdles, winning on his second start at Navan in January.

This is obviously an open race, but if he's in similar form there's no reason why he can't grab a least a share of the prize-money and he makes some appeal with bookmakers offering five places.
