Tanarpino, who traded at 1.05 in the novice handicap chase at Carlisle, didn't get up the hill and dropped to third close home, with long-time leader Palm Grey seeing it out best after being matched at 50.

Compadre was backed at a low-looking 1.07 in the 2m1f novice hurdle at Carlisle. Never in front, he was readily left behind on the run-in by Testify.
