There are many trainers in Ireland whose year revolves around a good winter campaign at Dundalk, but few smaller operators are as good at turning a profit on the all-weather as Kilkenny-based Pat Murphy.

The M1 up to Dundalk has been paved with gold for Murphy, who boasts 15 winners from 98 runners at the track, the majority of which have come in bottom-of-the-barrel races.
