My initial reaction was one of bitter disappointment when Saint D'Oroux faded into fifth in a juvenile maiden hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas, but he is now pitched into a handicap at Naas for horses rated 0-123 and could be a bit better than that grade.

He hit a low of 1.5 on the exchanges at Leopardstown, presumably when getting to the front on the home turn, and there was plenty to like about the way he travelled through the race. The slickness of his jumping will stand him in good stead in handicaps.
