The preponderance of hurdle races at Clonmel has ensured the average field sizes remains respectable, and even though there is not a great deal of quality on show the racing is competitive and a couple of the contests do look quite interesting.

The Coral-sponsored mares’ handicap hurdle does not particularly tick the interesting box and only barely qualifies as competitive, but it might just contain the best bet of the day in the shape of Reine Fee.
