Old boy Pastoral just fails to reel in Peace

Veteran Pastoral Player was matched at 1.13 on Betfair in the 7f handicap at Goodwood but Noble Peace found just enough to hold on after trading at 25.

Silverrica was collared on the line by Powerful Wind in the 5½f handicap at Bath after trading at 1.06. The winner was backed at 50.

Finniston Farm, who was always in the firing line, was matched at a high-looking 50 on his way to winning the 6f novice stakes at Haydock.
