Novice chaser has been given a major chance by handicapper

No. 7
Cooking Fat
1.30 Carlisle
1pt win at 9-1 generallyCooking Fat was rated 132 over hurdles, earning that mark for a very easy win at Catterick off 125 in February.

He made a perfectly respectable chase debut at Wetherby (good) last month, finishing a length second, albeit to an outsider, but the handicapper wasn't impressed as he's allowing him to run in his first chase handicap back on a mark of 125.

I find that pretty surprising and Dianne Sayer's six-year-old looks well worth a bet. His last two hurdles successes have come on very soft ground and he stays further than today's 2m4f so he won't have any problems with Carlisle's stiff finish.
