Sophosc and Star Dreamer are my two against the field in the 1m4f handicap (4.35), while Gal Wonder stands out for John and Thady Gosden in the 1m2f handicap (5.10).

The market will provide the best guide to the chance of newcomer Sea Speedwell in the mile novice stakes (5.40), but she is certainly a likely type on breeding.

Enfranchise, a strong-galloping Pontefract winner last month, should also be included.

Rich Dream has yet to live up to expectations, but time remains on his side and he takes the eye in the mile handicap (6.10), a race which also looks suitable for Plastic Paddy.

Spartan Fighter has been knocking on the Newcastle door lately, and should post a top-three finish once again in the 6f handicap (6.40).
