Nebo can make trip to France worthwhile with Criterium victory

We might have more big runners on Friday than Saturday as it has worked out, because Nebo is set to miss the Dewhurst and instead run in the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte (1.10) on Friday.

There are only five runners in France, so it looks a more appealing option than taking on Expert Eye and the rest in the Dewhurst.

He ran his best race in the Mill Reef, so we’re happy to keep him at 6f for now. I’ll probably be going over to see him run and I’m looking forward to it.

Spoof is in the Newmarket Academy Godolphin Beacon Project Cornwallis Stakes (1.50), but it looks like another big ask for him after Doncaster.

We could do with dry weather as Elizabeth Bennet is set to run in the Godolphin Lifetime Care Oh So Sharp Stakes (2.25), but she won’t go if it’s soft.

She probably ran her best race in the Rockfel Stakes over the same course and distance last time out.

All being well, Dutch Connection will run in the Godolphin Stud And Stable Staff Awards Challenge Stakes (3.00). Again, he’d have his best chance if the weather stays dry, but I couldn’t be more pleased with him at home.

We had three in the 32Red On The App Store Fillies’ Novice Stakes (6.45) at Kempton on Friday evening and are running Saffah. She is primarily a horse for next year and it is about giving her more experience.

Traveller was entered at Goodwood but runs in the 32Red.com Handicap at Kempton (8.45) on Friday. He’s going well at home, he’s still looking good in his coat and he’s been consistent. He deserves one.
