Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Monday selections from Ayr, Lingfield, Naas, Southwell, Thirsk and Windsor

Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Ayr

3.15: Summa Peto

Preference is for Summa Peto (nap), who has solid course form and takes a drop back in class. Water Iris is another big player on the figures, while likely improver Tadreeb and interesting newcomer Tampa also enter calculations.
Steve Boow

Naas

5.10: Sir William Bruce

Having been narrowly denied on his second start last season, Sir William Bruce (nap), should be capable of getting off the mark. Torino can improve plenty from his debut and go well, as can Dublin Journal and Moktaffy. Port Philip needs a market check on debut. Tyrone Molloy

Southwell

1.50: Villanelle

It's probably worth watching the market with regard to the chances of Scudamore and Jean Mary, especially the latter who makes her debut for Brian Ellison and whose sire has a good record here. However, Villanelle (nap), has no doubts over her ability to act on the surface having run so well over course-and-distance on her penultimate start. This looks a good opportunity for her to end her frustrating run of seconds and make it 15th-time lucky.
David Bellingham

Lingfield

4.40: Soyounique

There are good reasons to believe that both Martineo and Azets (preferred in that order) will be right in the thick of things but Soyounique (nap), produced a very strong late burst to score over C&D 19 days ago and is taken to complete his hat-trick.
Chris Wilson

Windsor

6.20: Classical Wave

An interesting race in which the vote goes to the progressive Classical Wave (nap), who went close off only 1lb lower in his bid for an AW hat-trick 16 days ago and is a major player again if he can continue the good work back on turf. Recent Newcastle winner Hotspur Harry is feared most ahead of the returning Maiden Castle. Others to keep an eye on are Mordred, who is on a dangerous mark on his stable debut, and Water's Edge, who has a record of 3-3 at this track.
David Moon

Thirsk

5.00: Low Profile

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest, and Low Profile (nap), is taken to continue Mark Walford's good recent run after posting a promising second for his new yard at Catterick earlier in the month (form franked). In-form duo Tundra and Termonator seem sure to be on the premises, although the handily weighted Petitioner could prove the biggest danger to the selection.
