The Coral Cup can go to Gowel Road (nap) who beat another leading contender in Unexpected Party over C&D in November and should take another step forward now that he is stepped back up from 2m. Saint Felicien takes a marked step up in trip but is highly talented yet seriously unexposed, so it would not be a shock were he to emerge as a blot on the handicap and he is feared most. His trainer Gordon Elliott has seven declared in total and the most interesting of his others may be Indigo Breeze. The best of the more experienced Irish runners could turn out to be Ashdale Bob, ahead of The Shunter.

Lord Sparky is always a reliable proposition round here but Champ Is Real (nap) has hit the ground running over fences and he's probably still well handicapped. Queen Of The Court is the other one likely to feature.

If able to dominate Brains would be a threat to all in his bid to make it 4-4 over C&D, while Proclaimer has also proven himself a potent force around here having been successful in his last four visits. However, it may be worth siding with Fantasy Believer (nap), who makes his debut for Ed Walker after 149 days off but has a fine record fresh and is 1lb below his last winning mark.

Several of these are in good heart but this can go to Pallas Dancer (nap), who has a good strike-rate on Tapeta and turned in his best effort in defeat over 1m4f here last time. The cheekpieces are back on for this return to 1m2f and he should go well from the same mark. He's taken to beat Dragons Will Rise, who accounted for Jomont over C&D in January.
