Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's three meetings

The day's best bets from Carlisle, Plumpton and Wolverhampton

Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Carlisle

2.45: Trooper Turnbull

The one with most potential is low-mileage 8yo Trooper Turnbull (nap) who has made a promising start to his chasing career. Rose Dobbin's runner finished only third of five when favourite at Newcastle last time but still performed very well. Armattiekan was in good form when last seen in the autumn but soft ground is not ideal for him. Conversely, conditions should suit Ard Chros but Relkadam is nominated as second choice.
Chris Wilson

Plumpton

4.10: Rock On Rita

The standout contender is Rock On Rita (nap) who had more in hand at Ffos Las than her winning margin might suggest. Catch Me Not and Chillabella are both possible improvers now raised in distance for their handicap debuts and they may prove more troublesome than The Real Jet who was possibly flattered last time.
Alistair Jones

Wolverhampton

8.00: Shabs

Having won two of his last three starts Storm Asset has to be taken seriously but preference is for Shabs (nap) who was beaten just a nose on his handicap debut over C&D where he had Baileys Eminence back in third. He races off the same mark and may well step forward again. Vive La Reine and Twilight Tone haven't shown much thus far but there are reasons to think they could do better now switched to modest handicap company.
David Bellingham
