Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's three meetings

Sunday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Chester

2.55: Ebro River

With a revival entirely possible in first-time headgear, Ebro River (nap) may well be the answer. He's smart on his day and was a Group 1 winner around this time last year. Second choice is Wings Of War who, like the selection, won a major prize during his two-year-old campaign. Princess Shabnam and Manaccan are other interesting types among the three-year-olds. Veteran Judicial is possibly vulnerable to those much younger legs but his Chester record, including two wins in this race, entitles him to major respect.
Steve Boow

Galway

3.05: Battleoverdoyen

It's hard to oppose last year's winner, Battleoverdoyen (nap), who ran a massive race in the Plate on Wednesday and he should be hard to beat provided that he's no worse for that run just four days later. Politesse has each-way claims if she can back up her latest success and Doctor Duffy is another capable of hitting the frame if he puts his best foot forward.
Phill Anderson

Market Rasen

3.20: Mac Suibhne

Micky Hammond's Mac Suibhne (nap) is effectively 6lb higher than when fourth at Worcester 17 days ago but a bad stumble at the end of the back straight didn't help his cause there, and he lost further ground when forced to switch wide off the home turn. He won quite cosily over 2m4f here on his stable debut two starts ago and looks interesting on his first attempt at a staying trip under rules. Belles Benefit drops in grade after a good second at Cartmel two weeks ago and is second choice, ahead of Landen Calling and possible improver Charming Getaway.
