Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Bath

3.00: Ruby Cottage

Steadily progressive filly RUBY COTTAGE (nap) is well suited by this C&D and has strong claims off bottom weight. Unexposed Neptunian is second choice, ahead of last week's course winner Jack The Truth.
Steve Boow

Beverley

5.10: Selfish Brian

Shimmering Sands looked unlucky on his handicap debut and that form would receive a timely boost should Stripzee run well in the previous race. However, SELFISH BRIAN (nap) won in the style of an improver at Leicester and there should be more to come from him at this trip. Make A Prophet also enters the equation and so too Ramamaras Boy, should he bounce back from his latest start.
Alistair Jones

Chelmsford

6.20: Karibana

Last month's C&D winner KARIBANA (nap) remains on a highly competitive mark. From his six races at Chelmsford he has won two and never been beaten more than three-quarters of a length, so another big run is surely on its way. Melody Of Life, contrastingly, has not had an AW race for 18 months but he's been running well on turf lately and is feared most, ahead of Liberation Point.

Dundalk

3.20: Chicago Lightening

Torn looks a big player on paper here on the back of a fine second at Leopardstown, but slight preference is for CHICAGO LIGHTENING (nap). The latter went into the notebook when fifth on handicap debut at Leopardstown and with the third franking the form with a win at Bellewstown in the interim, the form looks quite solid. Fanroe, Dutch Glory and It's Snowing should also take high rank.
Seamus Howard

Killarney

7.00: Harry's Legacy

Although he is taking a step up in grade, HARRY'S LEGACY (nap) is at the right end of the weights and is an improving sort who should relish this extended trip. No Thanks was third in this last year and can run well again. Advantage Point and Jesse Evans could go well, while the classy Western Australia can't be ignored.
Tyrone Molloy

Southwell

6.40: The Vollan

He's against a higher calibre of opposition today but THE VOLLAN (nap) looked in very good nick when cruising clear to win easily over C&D a fortnight ago and he remains very well handicapped on old form. He gets the nod ahead of Red Happy, who did well over a wide range of trips in the spring. Neville's Cross is a possible danger if the new headgear has a positive effect.
