Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings
Tips: Doncaster, Kelso, Kempton, Stratford, Wolverhampton and the Curragh
Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Curragh
2.31: Toy
Spotlight verdict
It was a big run on debut from Toy when runner-up last year and with improvement highly likely, the well-bred sister to Gleneagles could be hard to beat in a race her yard won last year. Perfect Thunder is another that should be able to build on her 2yo form and Ha Ha Ha is the pick of the newcomers in the line-up.
Phill Anderson
Doncaster
1.50: Diligent Harry
Spotlight verdict
Last year's successful stable is represented by Garrus, who scored on his reappearance last term and has solid claims again, but the one to beat is the unexposed Diligent Harry, who progressed steadily in 2021, going down only narrowly in a Group 3, and he can win this en route to even better things. With guaranteed fitness on his side, Mondammej should be thereabouts, although his very best form has come over the minimum trip.
Richard O'Brien
Kelso
3.46: Kaizer
Spotlight verdict
All five of these have something to recommend them. The Gillian Boanas-trained pair are having fine seasons and look closely matched on recent Doncaster form while Small Present may benefit from the first-time headgear, but Kaizer receives lumps of weight and can gain a deserved second C&D success of the campaign. Wakool continues to thrive and may provide the sternest opposition.

Kempton
4.30: War In Heaven
Spotlight verdict
This looks a warm little handicap. Despite having had more chances than a few, My Dubawi is likely to run his race again having just been held by a promising sort in his hat-trick bid last time. The unexposed Gold Medal and Way To Win are others to consider, but the vote goes to War In Heaven, who has won both starts at Lingfield this year despite the track not looking in his favour. This more galloping circuit and extra furlong should be right up his street.
David Bellingham
Stratford
2.53: Always Able
Spotlight verdict
Barrakhov and Fine By Her (preferred in that order) both come here after good recent efforts but the most appealing option is Always Able, who chased home an unexposed rival at Hereford two weeks ago and is now only 2lb higher than when scoring in pretty good style over C&D last spring.
Chris Wilson
Wolverhampton
8.30: Foreshadow
Spotlight verdict
National Charter and Pons Aelius are handicap newcomers from big stables and improvement could be on the cards, but it's certainly necessary if they're to come out on top. Foreshadow improved for the step up to 1m3f when going close at Southwell last week and is taken to go one better today. Away Wit Da Fairys wasn't far behind that day but the main threat could come from Myriad, who was undone by a slowly run race last time out. Recent Lingfield winner Jacks Profit is another to consider.
