Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Best tips from Newmarket, Cheltenham, Ripon, Bath, Exeter and Clonmel

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Bath

7.00: Kalamity Kitty

This looks a good opportunity for the unexposed 4yo Kalamity Kitty to land a hat-trick. She won over 1m6f on turf at Ffos Las last August and took another step forward when reappearing with a win at Kempton 15 days ago. Port Or Starboard ran well over hurdles recently and could be the main danger, while Gavin has potential off his current mark based on his good-ground hurdle form. Three-time course winner Lady Elysia is another to consider on her reappearance. Ben Hutton

Cheltenham

3.15: Madera Mist

Christian Williams won this 12 months ago with the remarkably progressive Win My Wings and in Barden Bella he has another upwardly mobile chaser on his hands. She's much respected but her stamina isn't guaranteed and the vote instead goes to last year's runner-up Madera Mist, who appears to have been trained with this race in mind again. Glorious Lady is third on the list. Richard O'Brien

Clonmel

6.20: Crossgales Ophelia

2m4f bumper winner Crossgales Ophelia caught the eye when keeping on nicely at Naas and stepping back up in trip will suit. Fanoir gets a nice bit of weight from the selection and is a big threat. Mark Nunan

Exeter

7.10: Knockmoylan

Unbeaten in three British points, the progressive Knockmoylan looks the likeliest winner of this quite competitive hunter chase. The consistent Dr Rhythm is next best. Jonathan Neesom

Newmarket

2.25: Audience

Eldrickjones was on the premises in 6f Group races last term but Anthem National hit similar form when close up in a 7f Listed race on the AW recently and can progress further. The best prospect in this field, however, may well be Audience who breezed home in front over C&D in his only start last season. Richard Austen

Ripon

2.50: Wots The Wifi Code

The durable Fairmac is likely to go well on his return, particularly if able to dictate, but preference is for Wots The Wifi Code, who made it 2-2 over this trip when readily seeing off a next-time-out scorer at Doncaster on Lincoln day. Andrew Sheret
