Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's seven meetings

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Doncaster

8.55:Willem Twee

Although this is harder than the maiden he won here last time, the unexposed Willem Twee (nap) is taken to follow up as he looks on a tempting mark for his handicap debut. Lady Raeburn and Dandy Dinmont should also go well.
Colin Russell

Limerick

5.45: Daisy Dufresne

A competitive little heat. There was lots to like about Downtown Queen's Downpatrick success, while Kilbarry Chianti is likely to be right there again after going in at Kilbeggan last time. Good Bye Milan is in good form this term and likely to be involved, but preference is for Daisy Dufresne (nap). The manner in which she hit the line when winning at Sligo suggests this step up in trip should suit perfectly.
Brian Dowling

Leopardstown

7.30: Scarlet Angel

Interesting race. Might And Mercy did well on her first try at this trip here two weeks ago and has a leading chance. Aristovic is up 12lb after victories at Tipperary and Killarney, but preference is for Scarlet Angel (nap), who looks progressive and can turn Killarney tables on Aristovic on 7lb better terms.
Justin O'Hanlon

Newbury

6.08: Fast Steps

Rod Millman's Fast Steps (nap) looks a winner waiting to happen off his current mark and returning to 1m2f should help. Classy Dame and King's Castle dominated a similar race here last month and are feared most in that order.
Alistair Jones

Sandown

3.35: Sweet Reward

Topweight Sweet Reward (nap) holds particularly solid claims having performed well in a higher grade here on Eclipse day, confirming that he's well suited by this C&D. Second choice is Saigon, who is open to further improvement in the retained tongue-tie. Scarlet Dragon is on a two-year losing spell but he holds every chance from a handicapping perspective, while Light Up Our Stars is another for the shortlist.
Steve Boow

Worcester

1.35: D'Jango

Taken at face value, Game Socks is very tempting on his C&D second in a novice this month. However, that might not have been the strongest of contests and the in-form D'Jango (nap), who has thrived around here recently, is preferred. Dazzling Glory and Oscar Montel add to the interest.
Jonathan Neesom

Yarmouth

3.10: Omniscient

Another chance is given to Omniscient (nap) as he wasn't seen to best effect in a steadily run race when third on his Wolverhampton handicap debut and remains one who almost certainly has a bigger performance in him. Swashbuckler looks fairly treated on the form he showed in maiden company on AW last week and can give the selection most to do ahead of At Liberty.
