Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's seven meetings

Friday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Bangor

2.00: Lelantos

With the cheekpieces (worn for both wins at the end of last year) back on, Lelantos(nap) looks the likeliest answer to this. Both Mr Yeats (second choice) and Gold Leader have a little to prove after their latest efforts but remain the biggest threats.
Jonathan Neesom

Galway

5.00: Nibiru

Nibiru (nap) ran really well twice at this meeting last year. He was second in a Flat handicap at 40-1 and then unlucky in a handicap hurdle over this trip when meeting lots of red lights before the home turn. He runs off the same mark of 109 here and comes into the race on the back of winning a Flat handicap at Fairyhouse. He looks primed to run a big one. Mr Saxobeat won his bumper here last year and could be interesting back at this trip, while Ebasari, Magnor Glory and Zoffanien are all worthy of consideration too.
David Jennings

Goodwood

4.10: Rebel's Romance

As an unexposed turf performer with a leading chance on the figures, Rebel's Romance(nap) has excellent claims. His stablemate Global Storm (second choice) is likely to go well again, while Fancy Man is also in the mix. Regal Reality has never raced over this distance but he's respected on his ability over shorter.
Steve Boow

Musselburgh

8.50: Sugar Baby

Not many appear to have a chance and the recent Thirsk apprentice race winner Sugar Baby(nap), who has no penalty, looks the one to beat with Sixcor his main threat.
Colin Russell

Newmarket

6.55: Night Sparkle

The well-related Night Sparkle (nap) has done better with each of her three runs as she's gone up in trip and she remains open to further improvement now handicapping. The steadily progressive Aurora Papillon is another to consider, while Turner Girl has stamina in her pedigree and is worth tracking in the market back from an absence.
Graham Wheldon

Southwell

7.35: Three Start

Nolton Cross is eased in grade and could revive, while Rich King looks on a good mark if his stamina holds out. Three Start(nap) looked a winner-in-waiting when narrowly denied at Sandown seven weeks ago though and this could be his day.
Paul Smith

Wolverhampton

4.30: Miss Belladonna

There is no doubting the consistency of Fair And Square despite a record of 0-21 and he seems sure to run his race again, but he barely seems to get the trip and may set it up for Miss Belladonna(nap) who needs a good pace to run at and she knows how to win. My Joker holds each-way claims, while either Next Second or Arkid could make an impression as both are favourably handicapped on their best efforts.
