Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's seven meetings

Selections from Bangor, Lingfield, Musselburgh, Newcastle and more

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Bangor

1.53: Stop Talking

Spotlight verdict
We haven't seen Stop Talking since her slightly disappointing run at Cheltenham in December but she ran very well after a break when second on her chasing debut at Ayr in October and will be hard to beat if in similar form here. Kalaharry was fortunate to win at Hexham this month but he's still on a workable mark and may provide the main threat
Chris Wilson

Lingfield

8.35: Lethal Blast

Spotlight verdict
This is a better race than the three that Lethal Blast has won in recent weeks but she's absolutely thriving and has landed another good draw. She can complete the four-timer at the main expense of Spurofthemoment, Vandad and Shamshon.
Paul Smith

Musselburgh

3.30: Harvest Day

Spotlight verdict
The answer almost certainly lies towards the top of the handicap. Leo Davinci should remain competitive having been second to the thriving Highjacked at Thirsk last time, but the Mick Easterby-trained Harvest Day was noted as an eyecatcher when finishing third (Glengarry fifth) at that same North Yorkshire venue recently and she appears poised and ready to strike.
Mark Rowntree

Newcastle

7.55: Home Before Dusk

Spotlight verdict
A glance at the market is required with regard to the unexposed Tinker Toy on this return from 283 days off, as whatever his fate here his best days are probably still ahead of him. Thibaan could figure if coping with the shorter trip, but Home Before Dusk is especially interesting as despite a record of 122113 over C&D, this will be the first time he has raced over it in 16 months.
David Bellingham

Southwell

1.00: Coole Well

Spotlight verdict
Azzuri might be vulnerable with so much rain about and he's taken on with Coole Well, who is nicely handicapped for his new yard. The other two runners also have big runs in them.
Alistair Jones

Tipperary

3.45: Weihnachts

Spotlight verdict
Though it doesn't always follow that a higher-rated chaser successfully exploits a lower hurdles mark, Weihnacts is a Flat-bred who should be equally as effective back over hurdles, in which he is 16lb lower. He faces several in-form rivals though, including Brosna Rocco, Magnor Glory, Brides Hill and Listenheretomejack.
Tyrone Molloy

Ballinrobe

8.15: Howyabud

Spotlight verdict
Ellen Doyle has made a good name for herself in the point-to-point field and can record a first track success now with Howyabud who ran green on his debut at this venue. He can uphold the form of that race with Derek O'Connor's mount Ballyglass. Hey Johnny is a half-brother to the Grade 1 winner Sir Gerhard and has run in two strong bumpers. Newcomer Data Breach also has to be taken seriously.
