Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's seven meetings

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Brighton

4.25: On The Nose

Arlo's Sunshine and Bbob Alula look set to go well once again but ON THE NOSE (nap) is preferred. She only just clung on over 1m2f here 15 days ago but the runner-up has won since and dropping back to 1m could prompt further progress.
Paul Smith

Catterick

4.05: Natural Path

Newmarket raider NATURAL PATH (nap) usually runs in better races and may well take advantage of this drop back in class. In-form Abate is feared most, ahead of Oso Rapido.
Steve Boow

Downpatrick

4.20: Nevendon

A weak contest. Clondaw Bertie is more respected on his chase form than his hurdles form. The one to beat is NEVENDON (nap) who came back to form with a good third at Bellewstown and probably has more to offer.
Justin O'Hanlon

Lingfield

8.00: Wrought Iron

Still unexposed on the all-weather and well treated off the same mark as for his good effort last week, WROUGHT IRON (nap) holds leading claims. Second choice is Reckon I'm Hot, who ties in closely with the selection on Wolverhampton running 23 days ago. Handicap debutante Rawasi Almeydan may be capable of improvement, while Pull The Lever has possibilities in first-time headgear.
Steve Boow

Killarney

7.10: Cactus Tree

Although still unproven over this far, CACTUS TREE (nap) looked ready for another attempt when making up considerable late ground at Fairyhouse last week. She gets the vote, ahead of Heer At Dawn, while it may pay to watch for any market moves on the handicap debutante Scarriff.
Alan Hewison

Uttoxeter

4.13: You Name Him

The thriving six-year-old YOU NAME HIM (nap) arrives on a four-timer and earns the vote ahead of Mr Yeats, who has also been in good form and could be suited by this step back up in trip.
Ben Hutton

Yarmouth

5.45: Kodiac Sign

The most interesting contender is Sir Michael Stoute's well-bred colt KODIAC SIGN (nap), who has shown clear promise in all of his three runs and looks on a fair mark for his handicap debut. He gets the vote, ahead of Chris Wall's generally progressive filly Castana Dia, who was beaten less than 2l at Newmarket last month and looks interesting on her step back up to 7f. Third choice is Manhattanville, who had a tough draw at Chester last time and has claims if he can get back near his best.
