Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's seven meetings

Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Bangor

1.40: Furius De Ciergues

The one that appeals most is the progressive Furius De Ciergues, who made it 2-3 since wind surgery when forging clear under a positive ride at Stratford last month and still looks feasibly treated off his revised mark.
David Moon

Doncaster

8.05: Music Society

This should be a level-playing field with pace high and low. With Tim Easterby's team flying there can be a big run in Music Society. He perhaps didn't fancy a second successive run on fast ground when below his best at Thirsk and, back under his optimum conditions, he's handicapped to go close.

Navan

2.30: Notoriously Risky

Despite the size of the field this looks an excellent opportunity for Notoriously Risky to open her account. She is officially rated one pound inferior to Zara Mac, but that rival has so far failed to build on the promise of her three undeniably promising juvenile runs.
Alan Sweetman

Newbury

3.00: Bay Bridge

Three against the field in this traditionally very strong handicap are Bay Bridge, Oz Legend and Tamborrada, preferred in that order. The Stoute-trained Bay Bridge has a Group 2 entry at Royal Ascot and it would be no great surprise if he proves worth it judged on the way he scooted clear over 1m2f on the Newcastle AW.
Richard Austen

Newmarket

5.00: Saaheq

Spotlight verdict
The rejuvenated Saaheq continues to run well and is selected ahead of Nibras Again, who was scuppered by a wide draw at Beverley last time. Recent AW winner Araifjan can have a big say if transferring that form back to turf but there are doubts on that score.
Ben Hutton

Thirsk

3.55: Commanche Falls

Intrinsic Bond should quickly leave a disappointing run at Ripon behind him but this looks good for Commanche Falls. Progressive last season, he looked an improved performer when powering home at Ayr last month and can make light of his 7lb rise.
Paul Smith

Uttoxeter

7.20: Wye Aye

The most obvious answer is Wye Aye, who is still a maiden over hurdles but ended last season in excellent form over fences and has a lower mark in this sphere.
