Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's four meetings

Bets for the Monday action at Huntingdon, Redcar, Windsor and Wolverhampton

Huntingdon

1.30: Getthepot

Not so competitive as the numbers suggest, and the lightly raced Getthepot (nap) signalled he's ready to open his account when a strong-finishing third on his handicap bow at Southwell (form been franked). What A Glance looks the one to chase him home now he goes into handicaps with veteran mare Undisputed and course-and-distance scorer Candy Lou appealing as the best equipped to fight out minor honours.
Peter Entwistle

Redcar

5.00: Will Sommers

For Will Sommers (nap) to remain in such high-profile ownership they must surely consider him good enough to be winning handicaps of this stature. Amsby did really well to finish so close on his handicap debut on the all-weather and will be a big threat if finding anything on that form now he's switched to grass. Tricorn also enters the equation.
Alistair Jones

Windsor

4.10: Fiordland

There are a lot of unexposed types in the line-up but the most striking contender is the well-bred Fiordland (nap), who justified favouritism in a Wolverhampton novice last month and has plenty of scope for further progress upped to 1m on his handicap debut. Alto Volante and L'Operateur are feared most in that order, though Komore has found improvement in AW handicaps recently and is respected on her switch to turf.
David Moon

Wolverhampton

4.50: Swinging Eddie

A good race for the grade and Makambe, Carey Street and In The Cove are high on the list but Swinging Eddie (nap) won well, in a good time, over 7f here last time and he can defy his rise in the weights.
Paul Smith
