Preference is for Atalanta Breeze(nap), who was in good form in September when last seen and remains unexposed as a stayer. Socially Shady, provided he doesn't hang, may prove the biggest threat ahead of Chocolate Box.

Resurgent mare See The Sea(nap) made all three consecutive times under Peter Kavanagh last month and, with conditions in her favour again here, she can extend her winning spree. Timberman ran well in defeat at Cheltenham last month and is feared most while C&D winner Paso Doble remains unexposed over hurdles. Pretty good cases can also be made for Just The Man and Son Of Red.

Donald McCain's Onthefrontfoot(nap) was left with only one rival to beat at Cartmel when last seen in August but he made it 3-7 over fences with that clearcut success and is a major player again off an unchanged mark on his return to action. The main danger is Kerry Lee's unexposed chaser Magic Dancer, who was a clear second under a penalty at Uttoxeter last month and looks interesting off a 4lb lower mark here.
