The unexposed Markaz Paname may be able to take this step up in class in his stride after an impressive win in a handicap off 97 a fortnight ago and he's entitled to come on for that run. Thunder Moon is a big threat if he can put a below par run at Riyadh behind him.

The thriving Poker Master can continue his progressive ways and land the four-timer. Bay Of Intrigue has been runner-up on his first two starts for Fergal O'Brien and could be the main danger, while the Richard Newland-trained Tango Echo Charlie is an interesting contender despite this being his first run since 2020. The first-time hood and return to better ground may help Mexican Boy.

Presenting Point, a course-and-distance winner in 2020, got his head back in front at Thurles last month and is only 6lb higher now. He sneaks in here at the bottom of the weights and everything points to another bold showing. Siberian Star is a danger, while Pat Coyne will have his supporters given his consistency.

This would be open if all were guaranteed to be on song but as things stand Sword Beach looks the one to beat getting weight all round. The step up in trip is not necessarily a plus for this pacey five-year-old but his handicap mark is tempting on his Flat form and he really got the hang of jumping on his handicap debut at Plumpton. Merry Berry has been off a long time but is on the up and conditions suit so she may be the main danger ahead of Birds Of Prey, although Langley Hundred may well step up now handicapping.
