Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's four meetings

Selections from Carlisle, Galway, Huntingdon and Wexford

Sunday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Carlisle

1.58: Wor Verge

Most of these have questions to answer and the solid option is WOR VERGE, who was second in this race last year and won over C&D recently. Kilbrainy is a possible improver on handicap debut and is second choice, while Serious Ego and Somewhat Cloudy may be able to return to form following their respective breaks.
Ben Hutton

Galway

2.20: Follow The Crowd

FOLLOW THE CROWD got the job done nicely when opening his account last time at Roscommon and looks to have been found a suitable race to double his career tally. He has form on soft ground and should be effective at this trip around here. King Ferdinand should be on the premises if this isn't coming too soon after his win ten days ago and Sanibel Island is in excellent heart but must cope with stepping back up in grade.
Mark Boylan

Huntingdon

3.58: Barely Famous

Multiple course winner Lord Sparky is much better known for his exploits over fences but looks very interesting on today's return to hurdling, having easily collected a small-field chase here on his recent stable debut. However, preference is for BARELY FAMOUS who has evidently been revitalised by Ryan Potter and now bids to complete a hat-trick.
Chris Wilson

Wexford

3.15: Banntown Girl

The unexposed Gold Cup Bailly is an intriguing runner here, while The Folkes Tiara could be well capable of a bold bid. The standard over hurdles is set by BANNTOWN GIRL and if she takes to these obstacles she is the one to beat.
Justin O'Hanlon
