Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's four meetings

Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Ayr

1.45: Marown

Gold Cup Bailly is 2-2 over fences over 2m4f and probably still has more improvement to come but he emptied pretty quickly when beaten 4-11 favourite in a 3m1f maiden hurdle last season, and his pedigree also raises some doubts about today's move back up in trip. It might pay to oppose him with Marown (nap), who made a pleasing seasonal debut here in October and remains on a good mark. Omar Maretti and Your Own Story also have plenty going for them.
Chris Wilson

Lingfield

1.23: Incrimination

Well backed ahead of her two runs for Ger Lyons round Dundalk, Incrimination (nap) shaped nicely for her new yard back from nine months off over course and distance 11 days ago and this looks a bit easier against her own sex if anything. The similarly lightly raced American Rose can give her most to do.
Graham Wheldon

Newcastle

4.10: Noisy Night

Given that he's a progressive all-weather performer who posted a promising comeback effort here last month and should be suited by this return to 7f, Noisy Night (nap) holds particularly strong claims. Lord Of The Lodge, who returns to handicap level off a handy mark, is feared most ahead of closely matched rivals Larado and Zip.
Steve Boow

Plumpton

3.00: Pemberley

You wouldn't put it past Nearly Perfect to win again after a lengthy absence but there are safer options. Pemberley (nap) bypassed the big staying handicap chase at Newbury on Saturday to wait for this, a race in which he finished runner-up last year. Favori De Sivola has to be feared on his Exeter form and with no stamina issues on his part, while I See You Well is always a solid proposition around here.
