Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings
Selections from Sandown, Yarmouth, Beverley, Kelso and Sligo
Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Beverley
5.05: Tele Red
The most solid option is Tele Red who arrives in peak form having run well for Sam Feilden at Newbury on his most recent start. Today's softer ground should not inconvenience him. The reliable Hostelry is second choice, while at the foot of the weights Dandy's Angel and Jackamundo have each-way claims. The lurkers include Heathen, who could improve after gelding and breathing operations, and Hector's Here, thrown in on his best form and now reunited with Jason Hart. Richard O'Brien
Kelso
4.45: Raecius Felix
Consistent Raecius Felix is an obvious player on the back of his recent Sedgefield win and he is taken to repeat his success in this race in 2020. Cardboard Gangster appeals as the pick of the rest for minor honours. Peter Entwistle
Sandown
4.10: Belhaven
As a C&D winner who should still have more progress in her, Belhaven has strong claims back here. She's first choice ahead of Maggie And Me, who looks interesting on only her second handicap start. Last-time-out scorers I'll Be There (third choice) and Ae Fond Kiss may be capable of further improvement, while New Heights is also hard to dismiss. Steve Boow
Sligo
3.45: Broken Ice
It has been a promising start to life over fences for Broken Ice who only found a nice prospect too good at Tramore last time and with further progress on the cards, he should be firmly in the mix. Quaker Island is the main danger if he's on a going day while The Great White can put his experience to use and continue in good form. Phill Anderson
Yarmouth
3.20: Sound Angela
Last year's winner Ville De Grace will be tough to conquer if bringing her 'A' game but, with 3yos winning this eight times in ten years, the improving Sound Angela makes plenty of appeal. After a ridiculously easy handicap win at Newcastle, she looked unfortunate not to be seriously involved in a Group 3 at Deauville a month ago. Sierra Nevada and Shaara have to step up but both have the potential to do so. Alistair Jones
