Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Catterick

5.05: Hiya Maite

Having raced only five times Hiya Maite is much less exposed than his rivals and may well be capable of progress with this drop back to 5f an interesting move. Judged on his Nottingham effort in May, he's well treated off his current mark. Good Luck Fox, who scored in a higher grade last time, is second choice ahead of John Kirkup and Tanasoq.
Steve Boow

Goodwood

3.40: Aggagio

Successful in two of the last three runnings of this event, Themaxwecan has to be respected once more, but Aggagio is quickly developing into a Goodwood specialist too and he can continue his progress by gaining a third victory of the campaign. Master Milliner may not yet be fully exposed while Whitehaven will be interesting if more rain arrives.
Richard O'Brien

Hexham

4.52: You Name Him

In a modest event, You Name Him is taken to get back to winning ways with the in-form Bird On The Wire his main danger.
Colin Russell

Leicester

4.25: Whimsy

With a record of 2-2 on turf and solid form to boot, Whimsy commands major respect back in this sphere. She's first choice ahead of D Day Odette, whose turn may be near. Chichen Itza has possibilities if she takes well to the visor and Renegade Rose also needs a mention.
Steve Boow

Galway

5.40: Lumiere Rock

Following an eyecatching debut run in a similar race at Naas a fortnight ago, Lumiere Rock could take all the beating here. Keep In Touch, Starry Heavens and Roman Moon look the ones to fight it out for the placings.
Alan Hewison
