It looks significant that Yagan remains with Sir Mark Prescott and it was a highly encouraging return that he made at Wolverhampton. Sir Joseph Swan seemed to find improvement from somewhere to beat a stablemate of the selection at Salisbury and he's feared most, along with Ray's The One.

David Chapman's granddaughter Ruth Carr can win his memorial race with Foreseeable Future, who ran well in defeat behind a subsequent winner when dropped to five furlongs at Thirsk last month and remains unexposed over this trip. Canaria Prince scores high marks for his consistency this season and is second choice. Red Walls is an each-way option to consider.

Salisbury scorer Millicent could well have more to offer for her new stable and she is taken to defy a 4lb rise in the weights. The signs look positive for Hellavapace, who is second choice ahead of Lark Lane.

Most of these have something to prove and the one that stands out is Darcy's Rock, who got off the mark with a dominant display on her step up to seven furlongs at Chepstow last month and is open to more improvement on this return to all-weather. The main threat could come from Vienna Poppy, who got much closer to the target when fourth in a Kempton handicap in June and has possibilities if she can build on that.
